Broken links, also known as link rot or linkrot, are the hyperlinks that point to the resources that are unavailable. In this case, the address no longer exists, so the link created to point to that address is called broken link.

– the server stops working
– the domain name was changed

Instructions

We suggest using Xenu’s Link Sleuth software for discovering broken links on a website. You will have to download the software and install it to your computer. Once you install the software use the menu file and the option to check URL.

In this way, you will be able to easily detect the broken links on the website, which will allow you to fix them in order to avoid broken links affecting the positioning of your website.
