The URL of the blog should be within your domain. If the blog uses differnet domain, it will not help you position the web, nor will the subdomain have much influence. So, it is recommended that the URL is something like:

– Interesting and quality: you must encourage other websites to link to you by posting quality content.
There are various platforms that enable creating blogs, but WordPress is certainly one of the most popular platform among bloggers. Not only is WordPress blog simple to use and work with, but it is also search engine friendly, and thus requires less time for optimization.
A) Create a blog with your own domain
You will first go to wordpress.org and download it.

Before we explain the exact process of creating a blog, you should understand the difference between WordPress.com and WordPress.org. WordPress.com is a fully hosted blog, with different payment plans that enable adding custom domain, and other popular features. On the other hand, WordPress.org is a self-hosted version of WordPress, where you have to download the software which should then be integrated to your online server.
You should make a decision on which type of service is better suited for the type of blog you want to publish. In both cases, the process of setting up the blog and publishing content is similar.
We will illustrate how to create blog using free WordPress.com option. Visit wordpress.com and use the button “Create Website”. You will be asked to provide an email, a username and a password. You will also choose the blog address. Free option will inlcude .wordpress.com extension after the name of the blog, while this extension is removed for advance payment plans, as well as when installing WordPress software on your own server.
You will be redirected to the page where you will finish the process of setting up through several steps. Step one is to add the following information:
– Blog title
– Blog tagline
– Choose language
In the step two you will choose one of the available themes. There are both free and paid themes you can use. You will customize the theme and preview the sample in the step three. In the fourth step you can create your own blog post, but you can skip this step and create post directly from the dashboard. Click on “Finish” to complete the process and you will get access to your own WordPress dashboard.
Now you can access your dashboard by visiting the URL of your blog. Each dashboard has a menu on the left with options to customize your blog, add articles, categories, and pages, monitor comments posted by the visitors, etc.
