Quora is a question and answer website, where users collaborate on answering questions and providing solutions for various different topics, divided by subjects. A blogging platform has also been launched as a part of this website.
First launched in 2010, Quora has become an important question and answer platform with registered users from all over the world. The process of asking and answering questions has been simplified even further with the redesign in 2011 and the Quora app was presented in 2012. Everyone can see the questions and answers on Quora, but only registered users are allowed to post comments, answers, vote, add friends, etc.
When it comes to ranking answers, Quora has developed a special algorithm that is supposed to rank the answers to a certain questions in order to present the most relevant answers at the top.
What is unique about Quora, and different from all of other question and answer platforms is the gamification process which allows users to get credits when providing a helpful answer. Users can then use the credits to ask the experts to answer a certain question.
